According to a VCED representative, at this event, the cooperatives displayed fresh and safe fruits, meeting VietGAP standards as well as processed products such as dried fruits, juices, fermented grape juice ... to visitors and businesses. Through this activity, VCED project wants to support cooperatives in seeking partners to expand business and export markets.

Ms. Vo Thi Kim Sa - Co-Director of VCED Project - said: Currently most cooperatives in Vietnam only sell raw products without added value. Therefore, through the VCED project, we want to prove that cooperatives, farmers can go further to develop markets through processing activities. For example, Evergreen grape cooperative has been supported by the VCED Project to process technology of raisins, fermented grape juice and is currently testing grape wine ... Thanks to this method, it has brought more benefits to farmers. at the same time creating jobs and retaining young people in rural areas.

Or in September 2019, through the support of the VCED Project, the Da Buoi Cooperatives and Thanh Binh Cooperatives sent a sample shipment to Canada. The fresh fruits of these two cooperatives have been highly appreciated by Canadian importers and customers for their designs and safe freshness. Currently, the cooperatives are actively negotiating to export shipments to Canada, to help increase incomes for people, contribute to promoting bilateral trade between Canada and Vietnam, taking advantage of the full Partnership Agreement. cross-border progress and progress (CPTPP).
It is known that since 2015, the VCED Project has supported the establishment and development of 5 new large-scale cooperatives in 5 provinces in accordance with the revised Law on Cooperatives 2012. The most important purpose is to help improve the livelihoods of Equally and sustainably farmers and men, through the development of agricultural value chains and the development of new models of cooperatives.
In 2018 - 2019, the project has achieved some positive results, the number of cooperative members increased, activities on customer connection, trade promotion, technical training, communication ... were implemented. on schedule and is gradually creating trust, attracting people to participate in cooperatives.
Funded by the Government of Canada, the VCED Project is jointly implemented by Socodevi and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Established in Quebec, Canada in 1985, Socodevi is a network of 27 cooperatives and mutual assistance organizations with the purpose of sharing expertise, practical experience and the spirit of cooperating with partners in developing country. Socodevi contributes greatly to the sustainable development of the locality through capacity building activities for the people here.
